National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus

Exhibition project "It is impossible to forget"

On April 29, 2022, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus opened the exhibition project "It is impossible to forget", dedicated to the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
The investigation of military atrocities is a tribute to the memory of the deceased, innocently destroyed citizens of our country. Our duty is to preserve the great memory of the war, the feat and heroism of the people, to restore historical justice and pass this knowledge to the younger generation.
The materials presented at the temporary exhibition reflect the tragic themes of the losses of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War, the harsh policy pursued during the occupation, the Oldenburg economic enslavement plan, according to which cultural values were destroyed and plundered.
The exposition is based on authentic materials from the stock collections of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus: military uniforms and equipment, documentary and material monuments. A separate block contains items from the Blagoveshchyna memorial complex (Maly Trostenets), provided by the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Admission to the exhibition is by ticket to the permanent exhibition.
