From September 6 till September 18, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus shows the "Colours of Cultural Diplomacy" exhibition timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Belarus. The exhibition features works of Pedro Valdivieso and Yuri Podolin, as well as photographic works by Ecuadorean artists.
The 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Ecuador and the Republic of Belarus is celebrated in 2018. Our countries are reliable partners not only in trade and economic, but also in the cultural sphere. Friendship and active cooperation uniting the peoples and governments of the two states are based on mutual understanding, respect and solidarity. The "Colours of Cultural Diplomacy" exhibition is designed to reflect the common cultural features of Belarus and Ecuador.
Pedro Valdivieso is the Ecuador Ambassador's Adviser in the Republic of Belarus on cultural cooperation, an artist, curator of many international art projects.
Yuri Podolin is an associate professor of the Department of Monumental and Decorative Arts of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, a participant in republican and international art exhibitions.
